After a pandemic where life went topsy turvy for a few years, I was finally in a circumstance where i could play around with songwriting and production that was something more than just half written songs or DIY recordings of songs for friends that have passed. I came up with n recorded this song particularly in a day after psyching myself up to make something worth a damn in the yurt one morning & that night I came out feeling pretty okay about what I had made. Which kind of turned out to be this soundtrack to looking up at the sky's buck moon and having a feeling like maybe there is a sweet sad connection to the brilliance within the emptiness of space. or something. Either way, the feeling I got from making this was super special and super affirming that despite life's detrours and pandemic curveballs that have reshaped my life and relationship to music making and performing....maybe there's still the ability to make and share things when I can and on my own terms
